Finish Line Festival

Finish Line Festival presented by Sprint

Because of the feedback we received from our participants, we are excited to bring Kansas City style BBQ back to the Finish Line Festival this year.  The BBQ will be free for all participants!  We are proud to partner with Operation BBQ Relief who will be preparing and serving the delicious BBQ following the race.

Operation BBQ Relief was founded in May 2011 in response to a need for relief efforts in tornado-stricken Joplin, Missouri, a community of about 50,000 residents. Volunteers from competition BBQ teams from eight states answered the need to help feed displaced families, police, fire, National Guard and emergency personnel.  Operation BBQ Relief strives to provide compassion, and offer hope and friendship to those whose lives have been affected by disasters across the United States.  They leverage their expertise in cooking and catering barbecue meals with their ability to quickly mobilize their teams into areas where disaster disrupts and tears apart lives of Americans in its path.  The group is currently in California providing meals to families who have been impacted by the terrible wildfires.

Central States Beverage is located right here in Kansas City where they provide and distribute several product lines in both Kansas and Missouri with case volume in excess of 5 million per year.  Central States will once again provide a variety of beers for runners at the Finish Line Festival presented by BNY Mellon, including options from hometown favorite Boulevard Beer.  Here is our 2017 Finish Line Festival beer menu:

The M80s
The M80s deliver an amped up, nonstop ragin’ 80s party with the hottest dance hits from pop, rock and new wave!  Their song list is stacked with all the top eighties music that will get you out of your seat.  The M80s’ high-energy performance brings the 80s back in a party that never ends.

Big Show Dueling Pianos
Dueling Pianos can best be described as two piano players who also sing, performing on two pianos that face each other, playing upbeat songs that everyone loves and recognizes, while throwing in some good natured comedy for good measures.
