Kansas City is the College Basketball Capital of America in March
This March, it would be a challenge to find a city in America where more championship basketball games will be played than in Kansas City. The Big 12 Conference, NCAA, MIAA and NAIA will all host tournament play in Kansas City in March.
The Kansas City Sports Commission plays a key role in helping attract events like these to our community. By investing years of work and overcoming stiff competition from other cities vying for these prized events, the Sports Commission is working on behalf of local sports fans and the business and civic communities to secure these outstanding championships. At the same time, we’re helping to preserve Kansas City’s reputation as the place to be for college hoops in March.
