KC Sports Commission makes Top 25 List
According to the list published in the June 3-9, 2011 issue of the Kansas City Business Journal, Kansas City Sports Commission & Foundation is the 16th largest business and professional association in the area. This list is ranked by number of local members. When the Business Journal re-ranked the list by number of full-time local employees we came in fifth.
Bring Your Daughter to a Game on June 28
The Women’s Intersport Network (WIN for KC) has teamed up with the Kansas City T-Bones to host the Bring Your Daughter to a Game Night. 39th Annual SportKC PROPs
Join us on Thursday, July 14, at the Midland Theatre in Downtown Kansas City for the 39th Annual SportKC PROPS (Party Recognizing Outstanding People in Sports), celebrating the best that the Greater Kansas City area has to offer from amateur athletics to the professional ranks. The event will kick off with a cocktail reception and silent auction at 5 p.m., dinner at 6 p.m. followed by the awards program at 7 p.m. The night will conclude with a VIP After Party at the Jones Pool at 9 p.m.
Camp WIN – June 20-23
Do not miss this opportunity to get your daughter, niece, granddaughter or other special girl involved with Camp WIN! There are still a couple spots available. Camp WIN is WIN for KC’s flagship youth event and is designed to EMPOWER girls by introducing them to over 14 new sports and fitness activities. Volunteers are needed in a variety of areas…come out and help make this event a huge success and support these phenomenal athletes! All volunteers get a great t-shirt. Tri Girls Program
Encourage your daughters, nieces, granddaughters and other girls you know to join you in your training and become a Tri Girl! The Tri Girl Program is structured to empower girls 6-12 years old to complete a triathlon at their own pace. Girls will then have a chance to come watch one of the premier women’s triathlons in the country! They will be motivated by seeing role models in action and experience the energy and empowerment of this event!
