About JayDoc

The JayDoc Free Health Clinic provides important health care services to those in need as the only completely free clinic in Wyandotte County. Its mission is two-fold. First it seeks to address the linguistic, cultural, and financial barriers to health care access in Kansas City by providing primary care services at no charge, integrated with on-site language interpretation. Second, JayDoc is a student-run facility overseen by licensed physicians. It is an essential learning tool for future doctors. Since its inception in 2003, the Clinic has grown to serve roughly 2200 patients per year.

Hours and Contact Information:
JayDoc has a general clinic from 5-9pm every Monday and Wednesday nights. In addition, it provides specialty care every Tuesday evening. The specialty clinics address chronic diabetes, women’s health, and vision problems. The clinic is located at:

Southwest Family Health Care
300 Southwest Blvd
Kansas City, KS 66103

JayDoc Funding:
The JayDoc Free Clinic is funded by grants, fundraising, and private donations only. The success of the clinic depends on events such as the annual JayDoc 5K. By participating in the run, you will be helping the citizens of Wyandotte County who depend on the clinic for medical care.

How JayDoc may use your registration fee:

  • $25 provides 2 acute-illness treatments
  • $50 provides for one prenatal visit
  • $100 provides for 4 school-physicals
  • $250 provides 8 well-women exams

More information can be found at the JayDoc website
