Purpose

The Love Fund was established to improve the quality of life for children in need in the Greater Kansas City area (Missouri and Kansas), by providing essential services. By financing some of these costs when funding sources are not available, the Fox 4 Love Fund attempts to eliminate situations detrimental to the welfare of children.  It is our purpose to increase public awareness concerning the needs and problems of children who fall between the cracks when Federal or State funds are not available.

We try to meet the needs of a child on an individual basis. Items for which we are most frequently contacted for assistance include clothing, medical and dental attention, speech therapy, tutoring, sexual abuse counseling, eyeglasses and summer camp scholarships. Over 25,000 children have been helped since the Love Fund began.

100% of registration fees will directly benefit the children served by the Love Fund.

3. Pay
Master Card, Visa & American Express are accepted forms of payment. You will receive an automatic email confirmation shortly after the successful completion of your registration.

Prize

The first 1,000 to register will receive a New Balance technical t-shirt. All finishers will be eligible for great prizes. You must be present to win.

Prizes awarded to the overall top men and women runners:

1st - Garmin Forerunner Watch, Running Shoes from Metro Run/Walk
2nd - Running Shoes from Metro Run/Walk

Prizes awarded to top age groups (7-12,13-15,16-19,20-24,25-29,30-34,35-39,40-44,45-49,50-54,55-59,60-64,65-69,70+).

All first place winners of each event category will receive a $50 Metro Walk & Run certificate towards a pair of New Balance running shoes.
