$30 through April 12
$35 through April 21
$40 on Race Day

Waves:
RED WAVE - 30 minutes or faster finish time
BLUE WAVE - 30-36 minutes or faster finish time
GREEN WAVE - 36-45 minutes or faster finish time
YELLOW WAVE - Slow Runner/Jogger
ORANGE WAVE - Fitness Walker

Afterbash on the Country Club Plaza from 8:15 to 11:00 AM

Race begins at 75th & Wornall Road
Finish is on the Country Club Plaza

Race Packet Pick-up and Registration Location:
Ward Parkway Shopping Center
April 22 from 4-8 PM
April 23 from 10 AM - 7 PM
April 24 from 10 AM - 5 PM
Race Day packet pick-up and late registration will be at the start only from 6-7:30 AM

Parking and Shuttles to Start:
Transportation to Start: Free buses depart The Plaza to the Start at 6:00 a.m. Loading takes place on Nichols Road between Pennsylvania and Broadway Streets.The last runners bus departs from The Plaza at 7:20 a.m. The last walkers bus departs The Plaza at 7:45 a.m. Arrive early! 

PLAZA PARKING: (See Plaza Parking Area map.) Absolutely no parking is allowed on Ward Parkway between Jefferson and Main or on the south side of Nichols Road from Jefferson to Broadway. We have the right to have improperly parked cars towed.

START AREA PARKING: Parking is very limited at Start. Absolutely no parking is allowed in any of the surrounding church parking lots.

By 7:30 AM be at the start and in the designated area that matches your bib color.

corporate & ccvi Family Team Registration Instructions

ALL Corporate family teams will be handled by CCVI directly.

Please select the proper category when signing up for a Corporate Team:
1. Yes, I want to join a team
2. Corporate Sponsored Team (*must have promotion code)
3. Select WAVE

CCVI Family Team: Non-Competitive Unlimited amount of family members
Entering your family team online is fast and easy!

  1. The team must designate a team captain. 
  2. The captain must FIRST register him/herself online
  3. The captain then must create a team name online.
  4. The captain can now distribute the team name to other members so they may register online and join the team.
  5. The teammates may now register and place themselves on the team by looking up the team name on the registration form.

All registered participants and volunteers can help raise money for the Children's Center for the Visually Impaired (CCVI) by creating a personal fundraising page! If you are not a registered participant but want to help make a donation to the event! Every penny counts so please consider making a $5 donation. You can donate to the Trolley Run or sponsor a participant.

Don't forget that every registered paticipant has a chance to win a brand new 2010 GMC Terrain that has been generously donated by the GMC Dealers of Greater Kansas City. Volunteers Needed

The Trolley Run would not be possible each year without the help of volunteers.  We have a variety of duties and shifts to choose from. 

Duties include:

  • Pre-Race Preparation: Corporate Team Packet Stuffing
  • Packet Pick-up: Distribute bib numbers, chips, runner/walker t-shirts and instructions
  • Race Day: Help as a course monitor, at the start line or at our Afterbash party!

 Kids' Trolley run

  • Kids 10 and under                                                                                              
  • Entertainment Starts at 9 AM
  • Warm-up and Pre-Run Starts at 9:45 AM
  • Run Starts at 10:15 AM in Mill Creek Park on The Plaza
  • Family Afterbash Starts at 10:45 AM
  • Pre-Registration only!
  • 1-6 year olds run on grass according to age group
  • 7-10 year olds choose either a 1/4 mile or 1/2 mile course and run on the track

Regular registration is $10.00, Kids' VIP registration is $15.00.  You must pre-register to participate!  Each child receives a Kids' Run T-Shirt, Bib #, and a participant ribbon.  Kids' VIP entrants also receive a Trolley Run 2010 patch and a special surprise. 

 About the Trolley Run

The Trolley Run is the largest 4-mile race in the United States and has a reputation for its fast, flat-to-downhill course. The Trolley Run holds the female and male 4-mile American Best Times, making it the fastest course in the U.S.!

The Trolley Run is the major annual fundraiser for the Children's Center for the Visually Impaired.  For over 54 years, CCVI has been providing blind and visually impaired infants, preschoolers and kindergartners from the Kansas City area with the special skills they need in order to function at their highest potential in the sighted world.  All proceeds from the Trolley Run benefit CCVI.
