Purpose

Start2Finish is an educational partnership between JCCC and KU Edwards Campus.

The premise behind the third annual Start2Finish 5K Run-Walk is to raise funds to provide undergraduate scholarships.

Race details

6:00-6:30am - Race-day registration takes place at KU Edwards Campus (then take the shuttle bus to JCCC for the start of the race)
7:00am - 5K Run/Walk, beginning at JCCC, ending at KU Edwards Campus
8:00am - Kids fun run for age groups: 2-3, 4-5, 6-7, 8-9 (Free) Sponsored by KU Alumni Association
8:30am - Course closes, medals awarded
7:30-9:00am - Post-run activities: Free food for everyone including Sarpino's Pizza and LaMar's donuts, fun giveaways, a raffle and music

Special benefits for runners: misting stations along the race course and special gift for all race finishers.

Awards to the top overall male and female and the top masters male and female runners. Medals go to the top three runners in each age/gender category: under 14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70+.

Online registration closes July 8 at 11:59 pm.

Mail-in Complete the form in the race brochure and send with your entry fee by July 2 to University of Kansas Edwards Campus, Attn: Christine Hartigan, 12600 Quivira Road, Overland Park, KS 66213. Race brochures are available on the KU Edwards and JCCC campuses, Garry Gribbles Running Sports on 119th and Quivira Rd. or visit www.iStart2Finish.org.
 

Race-day Register and pick up your packet at the KU Edwards Campus, 12600 Quivira Rd. Only cash and checks can be accepted. (A T-shirt in the correct size cannot be guaranteed for those registering on race day.)
