 About furry kids refuge

Furry Kids Refuge is a no-kill, 501(c)(3) Non-Profit all volunteer animal rescue organization founded in June, 2005. Furry Kids Refuge works with area shelters to rescue domestic pets and to provide safe haven for these abandoned, abused, or unwanted domestic animals. We currently have over 70 cats, dogs, kittens and pups who are looking for their forever homes. We have as many animals as the large shelters in the KC area but because we are a fairly new all-volunteer organization, we are operating on a fraction of the donations...We are a volunteer network of foster homes and someday hope to have a no-kill shelter of our own!

All animals in our care are spayed or neutered and receive all vaccinations and if necessary, life saving or necessary medical attention. When these foster animals are emotionally and physically healed, we search for the correct human companion for each, ensuring a loving, permanent home.
