Join Lakemary families, friends, staff and individuals served as we "Run for the Stars"! This scenic and fun 5K Run/Walk held in Paola, KS (a short 30 minute drive south of the Kansas City Metro area) will take you from Lakemary's main campus through the beautiful tree lined streets of Paola, circling in Wallace Park and back to Lakemary. This 2nd Annual event promises to be one for the record books!  All finishers will enjoy:

•    Lakemart Fall Fun Fest & 5K T-Shirt
•    Chip timing
•    Awards, prizes, and food at the finish

Awards will be given to the Top 3 Overall Finishers for Men & Women and First Place finishers in each age catergory.

Following the 5K Run/Walk Awards, there will be a Kid's Run around Lakemary Pond!

·         Strollers are allowed on the course.

·         The race is a go in rain, cold, or snow!  However, if it is unsafe to run/walk, the race director reserves the right to cancel the event.

·         If you register to run/walk, but are unable to do so, you may still pick up your t-shirt at packet pick-up.  No refunds will be issued.

Founded in 1969, by the cooperative efforts of parent advocates, community leaders, and the Ursuline Community of Sisters, Lakemary has expanded today to provide a complete array of services to persons of all ages with developmental disabilities in the Johnson & Miami County communities.

For over 40 years, Lakemary has been a leader in providing opportunities for individuals with special needs. Helping people maximize the freedom and control they bring to their lives is what Lakemary is all about.
