Interns may be asked to assist in areas outside of their designated internship position.

Events Intern

The Events intern(s) will assist with organizing local events such as The Big 12 Run, Kansas City Sports Awards Banquet, Kansas City Marathon, Camp WIN, WIN for KC Triathlon & Duathlon, Youth Clinics, Thanksgiving Day 5K Run & Family Stroll, and any national events including NCAA and conference related championships. The events they are involved with will depend on what events are going on or being planned for during their semester.

Marketing Intern

The Marketing intern(s) will assist with planning and execution of our marketing assets. Interns will help with all social media accounts, take part in brainstorming sessions for content, and assist with website and email as needed. The Marketing intern(s) will also assist with sponsorship presentations, partnership activation and other marketing duties. Additionally, they will assist all Kansas City Sports Commission and WIN for KC events.

Graphic Design Intern

The Graphic Design intern will create various marketing materials including email & social media graphics, fliers, T-shirt designs and assist with the designing of signage for the Kansas City Sports Commission and WIN for KC owned and operated events. As time allows, this intern could also assist with digital ads, bid creation and more. To be considered for this intern position the applicant must have design software including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign on their personal computer. Additionally, they will assist all Kansas City Sports Commission and WIN for KC events.

WIN FOR KC INTERN

The WIN for KC intern will directly support the WIN team on events including (but not limited to) The Women’s Sports Awards Celebration, Camp WIN and the Women’s Triathlon & Duathlon. This intern will collaborate with the marketing and events team and will also assist with all Kansas City Sports Commission events.
