Griffin joined the Kansas City Sports Commission as the Public Relations and Communications Manager in April of 2025. As the PR and Communications Manager, Griffin leads media relations efforts and written content across the commissions’ channels.
Originally from Pennsylvania, Griffin found a love for the Midwest when he attended the University of Missouri. While at Mizzou, Griffin studied in the Mizzou School of Journalism and competed for the Mizzou Swim and Dive team for four years. As a swimmer, he represented Mizzou at multiple SEC Championships, along with the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials.
Prior to joining the Kansas City Sports Commission, Griffin worked as a PR specialist for Garmin. There, he found a passion for storytelling and media relations. He also spent three years working at the recovery technology company, Hyperice, and worked with the communications team at Nike in 2019.
Outside of work, Griffin displays a deep passion for Mizzou athletics and Kansas City sports. He enjoys an active lifestyle, which includes traveling with his fiancée, working out at CrossFit Matters, and keeping up with his energetic German Shepherd, Finn.
