Kansas City Welcomes NCAA DI Women’s Volleyball Championship and American Volleyball Coaches Association Convention
KANSAS CITY, MO (December 17, 2025) – This week, Kansas City takes center court as it welcomes volleyball fans and professionals from across the country, hosting the 2025 NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship and the AVCA Convention.
Throughout the weekend, these two events will bring an estimated $15.4 million of economic impact for the region, via VisitKC. These figures are based on spending by attendees and the organizations.
After starting with 64 teams, the NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball postseason is down to its last four. The University of Pittsburgh, University of Kentucky, Texas A&M University and University of Wisconsin arrived in Kansas City on Tuesday to begin final preparations ahead of Thursday’s semifinal matches. Thursday, Dec. 18
Texas A&M vs. Pittsburgh: 5:30 p.m. - Texas A&M vs Pittsburgh
Kentucky vs. Wisconsin: ~30 minutes following Match 1
Sunday, Dec. 21
Championship Match: 2:30 p.m.
In addition to the games, fans will be able to experience the Volleyball Championship Fan Zone taking place on the main concourse of T-Mobile Center. The fan zone offers fan-focused activations, photo opportunities, interactive stations and other engaging elements throughout the Championship. The full daily schedule is available here.
The AVCA convention will also be held in Kansas City this weekend in conjunction with the tournament. The convention is Volleyball’s most comprehensive learning and networking event that features 100+ courts, beach and classroom education sessions, networking opportunities for coaches, and the world’s largest volleyball-specific exhibit show.
