KANSAS CITY, MO (April 30, 2026) – Boulevard Brewing Company is kicking off a historic summer in Kansas City with the debut of the Space Camper Star Striker IPA, a limited-release beer crafted in partnership with the Kansas City Sports Commission & Foundation, an homage to “the Beautiful Game” that begins hitting shelves this week.

Boulevard will celebrate the beer and Kansas City soccer fans at the Boulevard Summer Kickoff event on May 28 from 6-9 p.m. at the Boulevard Beer Hall. The evening will include interactive games and prizes, a “Keep-the-Cup” glassware special, and an opportunity to meet & greet with Kansas City soccer stars.

A Star Is Born

Star Striker, part of the Space Camper IPA Saga, is an "Out of this World IPA" that serves as a stellar celebration of community and competition, timed to honor the world’s best taking the pitch in 2026. The beer is brewed with an interstellar lineup of New Zealand hops, delivering a dazzling display of tropical fruit, citrus zest and bright punchy aromatics. Star Striker IPA features a 5.2% ABV and will be available in 6-packs of 12oz cans and on draft. The beer is a partnership with the Kansas City Sports Commission & Foundation, which improves the life and success of Greater Kansas City by taking the lead in maintaining and selectively acquiring a diversity of amateur and professional sporting events for the region.

“Boulevard is proud to team up with the Kansas City Sports Commission & Foundation, especially during this summer’s tournament,” said Adam Hall, brand manager at Boulevard. “Star Striker IPA is a refreshing summer beer that has bright, citrus flavors and pairs well with celebrations and Kansas City barbecue.”

In connection with Star Striker’s release, Boulevard will make a donation to the KC Sports Commission & Foundation. During the May 28 event, $1 per Star Striker IPA sold will directly benefit the Kansas City Sports Commission & Foundation.

“We're very grateful to Boulevard for their long-term support of our nonprofit organization," said Dave Borchardt, vice president of corporate and community relations for the Kansas City Sports Commission. "It's going to be a historic summer of soccer here in Kansas City, and we're excited to celebrate all the action with this great new addition to the Boulevard beer lineup."

Space Camper Star Striker IPA will be distributed throughout the Midwest and in select outer markets. Fans can search for Boulevard beer in their ZIP code at boulevard.com/finder.
