Polsinelli Sportsman of the Year is given to a local male athlete who is currently participating in amateur, high school, collegiate or professional sports. This athlete exemplifies all the positive aspects of sport and has made a demonstrable impact on the Kansas City community.

 

Children’s Mercy Sports Medicine Center Sportswoman of the Year is given to a local female athlete who is currently participating in amateur, high school, collegiate or professional sports. This athlete exemplifies all the positive aspects of sport and has made a demonstrable impact on the Kansas City community.

 

Burns & McDonnell Coach of the Year is given to a male or female coach who is currently or has been a coach in amateur, high school, collegiate or professional sports. This coach exemplifies all the positive aspects of sport and has made a demonstrable impact on the Kansas City community.

 

Spire Community Champion is given to an individual sports fan, volunteer or advocate that has made a public and longstanding commitment to sports in the Kansas City community and is committed to bettering Kansas City through sports.

 

McCownGordon Construction Executive of the Year is given to an individual who is currently or has been in an administrator position in amateur, high school, collegiate or professional sports in Kansas City. Individuals within professional organizations that have demonstrated a commitment to supporting sports in Kansas City at all levels through philanthropic or business endeavors may also be considered for this award. This award is nominated and voted on by members of the Kansas City Sports Commission Executive Committee.

 

T-Mobile Lifetime Achievement Award is given to an individual who has demonstrated sustained success throughout their career in amateur, high school, collegiate or professional sports. This individual exemplifies all the positive aspects of sport and has made a demonstrable impact on the Kansas City community.
